In this workshop,
, and I discussed challenges and strategies around writing, building readership, managing time and Hybrid publishing. It was a wonderful discussion, just the way I envisioned it where we learned from each other.
My vision for the workshops and Author Circle is to create a space where we come together around a round table—as equals—because we are all authors, learning from one another. No one has all the answers, but together, we can navigate the challenges of writing and publishing. If I can foster a community where we meet fortnightly or monthly to share our struggles and support each other in finding solutions, then I know we’ll all grow stronger as writers.
We delved into our writing processes, followed by a discussion on three key approaches to building your audience on Substack.
Next, we explored strategies for finishing first drafts quickly and shared our personal accountability practices.
Finally, we wrapped up with effective strategies to attract more readers to our books.
Susan Kacvinsky kindly shared a hybrid publisher, She Writes Press, she’s using to publish her novel.
If you weren’t able to attend, don’t miss the recording.
