Wow!! That was fascinating!! Thank you for sharing it!! My college friend (over 25 years ago) from India had told me about the Indian weddings she'd attended and I remember asking here where all the guests stayed. My friend said they stayed in people's homes which were often very crowded. So your mention of wedding resorts makes a lot of sense! I marvel at all of the food too!! Wow!! Happy travels! I look forward to whatever you write next.
I am in Ladakh, and been to highest point in Himalaya’s in India. It is a seven day trip and I will write about it in the next newsletter. Connectivity is bit low here so I am writing offline.
Hi Neera, I have started from here as I wanted to hear your version of a wedding in India which is such a lavish and long winded affair, but fabulous all the same. My best friend is Sri Lankan and her daughter went to a friends wedding in India and the description was very much as you have described it. The costs must be astronomical, and how people stay awake astounds me.
As a indian i know how it feels, neera. and i loved your newsletter, its really helpful. I am also a fellow creator just like you. Could we do a written article of things your grab wisdom from internet. My audience will love to see you just let me know about it.
Wow! So amazing. Thanks for an inside look at your husband’s nephew’s wedding. Was yours so elaborate too?
Yes it was. As elaborate as it could be for the time. But now weddings are becoming more and more elaborate.
