That is great Sue. So I have started the sketch book. As usual the idea is growing bigger and bigger. I don't know where will it end. But at least I have started.
Oh bravo!!!! Applause to you!!! I like sketchbooks because they keep my stray thoughts, you know, those ideas that, were they not contained and supervised somewhere, would run around over the furniture through the garden shed, knocking things over in an unruly fashion and then get lost on their way home.
More applause to you!! I look forward to whatever you do!!
Oh you really took a long interesting vacation. Being able to see the festival in Spain, sitting in the lobby drawing (and thinking) visiting your daughter and husband, and all the traveling must have been exhaustive, but well worth the investment. Im happy for you.
I find it so much more interesting to research the history and culture before visiting a place, don't you? Have you ever visited the US? And where is your home in Australia? What is your native language.
I didn't finish my class Eight Crafts (2 months) it ended June 30th. I made it through Chapter 16, but printed off everything so I can study a long the way. The author is revising his book and going to offer an advanced course soon.
I'm listening to Save the Cat Writes a Novel and almost finished. They talk about a beat sheet on a PDF, but I don't know how to access it from audible. I'm glad your using their beat sheets in your course, so I will be familar with them when I do sign up. Thanks for a review on your vacation. I enjoyed it.
Yes it was a long exciting holiday. Very exhausting too. I am happy to be back. Yes I have been to US. But it was six year ago. Another trip is due. Previously it was me and my daughter. I want to come with my husband this time. I used to do a lot of research about the places I visit beforehand. This time I didn't. Had no time. But when I go there I try to read as much as possible. I usually like to read a memoir which give me much more about the place which you don't find at touristy places.
I am glad you are making progress with your fiction classes and Save The Cat Writes The Novel. You can google the beat-sheat. I think you will find it easily. I too need to get to my novel but there is so much other stuff to do. I have this constant feeling of guilt for not finishing it.
Bravo! Thanks for sharing! I too enjoy taking the time to look and write/draw in a sketchbook- that makes travel extra special.
