Three years ago, at age fifty-seven, I quit my job to become a full-time writer. At that time my view of a writer was - someone who writes and publishes books.
I also had a vague idea that writers blogged. I thought that blogging was a good starting point for me as I was not a good writer (rather a terrible one), so I started a blog just before quitting my job.
Before I knew it, I was writing on Medium, LinkedIn, Substack and my website. I was no longer writing my novel, which I had started a few years ago or my memoir, rather I was writing what the industry called “content.”

And the notable thing is it is happening to most of the people who want to write in this age of the internet.
Whether you are writing personal stories, articles in a magazine, posts on social media, songs on YouTube, educating, or entertaining or writing inspirational posts. It is called - content.
