Jasmine had a perfect life: a husband, two kids, a perfect job, and a house in an upmarket suburb.

But one fateful afternoon, everything changed. Jasmine was in the kitchen preparing dinner while Emily and Jack played outside in the yard. Unknown to Jasmine, Jack wandered into the street to retrieve his ball. At that very moment, a car came and hit him. Jack didn’t stand a chance. Jasmine’s Her perfect life shattered in a moment. The driver was none other than their neighbor, who had a history of reckless driving.

Jasmine made it her purpose in life to get justice for her son. Through her tireless efforts, she succeeded in pressing charges against him. But that didn’t satisfy her. So she started a crusade for safer streets.

Despite all that, she wasn’t able to forgive her neighbor or herself. She blamed herself for leaving Jack and Emily alone outside. The anger towards her neighbor and herself not only was eating her from inside but it was affecting her husband and her daughter as well.

Jasmine’s story is one of extremes. We all have someone in our lives who has wronged us in some way, and we can’t bring ourselves to forgive them. Similarly, we all are guilty of not being able to forgive ourselves for something we did, which in hindsight, we know we shouldn’t have done.

That’s when we need help. We know this anger is not good for us, and we shouldn’t blame others or ourselves for what happened, but we can’t bring ourselves to forgive and move on.

That's what we're going to explore today.
